 For use with xorg-server on MacOS 12, contrary to what is said in [1], the
 DISPLAY variable must be set. Testing works with:
 DISPLAY=:0
 or
 DISPLAY=:0.0
 However, after 'unset DISPLAY', for example 'xeyes' gives:
 Error: Can't open display:
