 Upstream has released 4.8.0. Investigate potential issues and/or breaking
 changes first, though.

 Also proactively collaborate with our PPC users, to ensure that it works
 everywhere [before officially updating the port]. Ditto for trying to
 resolve existing open issues, during that process.
