 Hmmmm, Bison 3.8.2 builds fine for me on my PowerBook G4, for both 10.4.x
 and 10.5.x, using GCC 4.2.

 And indeed, we spent plenty of time working with the Bison maintainer
 (Akim), on getting everything working. See issue:59927.

 So before getting too far into the weeds, is there something unique about
 your setup, or...?
