The mention of /usr/local/bin/ginstall here shows you have installed
things in prefix /usr/local which is not supported. See wiki:FAQ#usrlocal.
It may not be causing this issue, but it could well cause other issues.
You should remove what you have installed in prefix /usr/local (i.e.
/usr/local/bin, /usr/local/include, /usr/local/lib, etc.).
