 I'm running macOS Monterey on an M1 MacBook Pro. This issue pops up while
 trying to install git. I ran into the same issue using the default
 perl5_28 variant as well as the perl5_32 variant. I tried the latter to
 check if the issue was just that 5_28 was too old. I guess I'll be
 sticking to the apple provided git for now.
