 Renee, can you offer any insight, as to what the proper fix is for this?
 My knowledge of the Python space is limited, but just curious: Is there an
 accepted approach to avoid this, via our Python port framework? Or is this
 more project-specific, necessitating appropriate configure/build arguments
 to disable use of `py-mkl`?

 Of course, all of this assumes that `py-numpy` doesn't need/want `py-mkl`
 in the first place. If that's not the case, then we'll need to rethink the
 approach.

 Thoughts?
