 next would be to see if libgcc7 on Tiger has the same library (I recall it
 does) with the same symbol (I recall it does) and then if all that is
 true, run your link with {{{-Wl,-v}}} added to see if it is trying to link
 in the needed library.

 If it is not -- that is where we need to look.

 If it is, why is not failing if it doesn't find it?
