Comment:

 I wasn't aware that youtube-dl could be used as a module in other python
 software.

 I've never been a huge fan of the select mechanism. I wonder if the build
 system would accommodate separating the python module part out into pyXX-
 youtube-dl subports while keeping the CLI part in the youtube-dl port.
