 Same exact error is occurring for me as well. I'd really appreciate it if
 this could be fixed, since I also rely on on the {{{pdftk-java}}} port.

 I'm not running on an M1 Mac. So ARM is not the issue.

 I've reproduced this on Intel hardware, so apparently the architecture
 involved is not the issue here.
