 I was advised to skip older versions and rather work on the recent:
 https://gitlab.haskell.org/ghc/ghc/-/issues/16106

 Cross-compiling is yet to be done, in the meanwhile I kinda brought back
 PPC support into `ghc` 9.2.2 source code. There is at least one patch that
 has to be rewritten though to match new syntax:
 https://gitlab.haskell.org/ghc/ghc/-/issues/21371

 Will keep updating here.
