 As discussed in the thread starting at

 `ccache` (or something else?) creates directory `/run/user/<UID>/ccache-
 tmp` but can't create files in it.  This happens on Mac OS X 10.7.5; note
 that `ccache` worked fine before updating to version 4.6.

 For me, it looks wrong that `ccache` tries to generate this directory at
 all.
