Thanks for the report. Remember to use WikiFormatting.
Normally we would ask you to attach the main.log file so that we can see
how it failed. However in this case we also see this port fail to build on
our Apple Silicon build machines, so we can refer to those logs:

The problem is simply that this software's automake files predate Apple
Silicon machines and don't know how to identify them. We can easily update
these files.
