 P. S. Could you or anyone confirm whether `vapigen` is working on PPC
 beyond building itself? Multiple `gnome`-related ports have vapigen
 options, with `meson` they are usually invoked with `-Dvapi=enabled` or
 alike. Some do not have explicit option, but nevertheless pull out
 `vapigen` from gir compiler – for example, the latest version of `gcr`
 (which fails to build at the very end, freezing on vapigen process).
