 I have installed the server and client, created a database, set the owner
 and group to "postgres".

 The included instructions say to start the server with this command:

 "sudo port load postgresql14-server"

 The only process runs is daemondo. It has the process id, shown by
 "launchctl list", as belonging to the org.macports.postgresql14-server
 launch item. There are no "postgresql" processes (or anything remotely
 similar). Trying to connect locally fails. The postgres.log file is empty.

 Does daemondo log errors anywhere?
