 I have the stock path setup, for both user and root:

 PATH=/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin
 }}}

 I am not sure what, if anything, is in your path that may or may not cause
 trouble, but it is a 10 second fix to check if the stock path fixes you
 up, and then you'll know.
