 you could try and do a cleanup project, but it's hard to get it right, and
 to be honest just reinstalling is safer.

 The specific issue seems to be this ancient ld64 is still hanging around:
 {{{
 ld64-latest @253.3_2+llvm37
 }}}

 but even after cleaning that up, you may find issues.
