 An up-to-date version of `gi-docgen` is installed: `gi-docgen @2022.2_0
 (active) requested_variants='' platform='darwin 9' archs='noarch'
 date='2022-12-02T18:25:18+0100'`. Why does it fail to detect that? And why
 is ancient Apple `Python 2.5.1` used to try building `gi-docgen`?

 Nevertheless `pango` built and was installed: `pango @1.50.7_0+quartz+x11
 (active) requested_variants='' platform='darwin 9' archs='ppc'
 date='2022-12-15T11:25:49+0100'`.
