 On MacOS, qt5 uses SDK features and Apple technologies that don’t exist on
 older systems.

 It is conceivably possible but practically very difficult to build qt5 as
 X11 on Apple hardware.

 qt 5.13 works OK on a G5 running debian 11, so this is not a hardware
 limitation, but a software limitation.
