 Thank you! I'm taking the opportunity to look at the commit to learn
 something about what a package upgrade entails.

 How will this upgrade propagate into actual use? It doesn't seem to take
 effect immediately, so I reckon updates are not pulled directly from
 master. Also, the [https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/tags version
 tags] are too infrequent to be what one should wait for, so I don't
 suppose those are the answer either.
