 I've created an example using the
 [https://appliedimagery.com/downloads/8536/ rural Iowa dataset] from
 [https://appliedimagery.com/ Applied Imagery]. Expanding the archive will
 create {{{las}}} files in {{{./Iowa_Rural_LiDAR/Iowa Rural LiDAR Point
 Cloud}}}.

 I'm uploading an attachment {{{iowa_rural_surface.json}}} designed to run
 from directory in which you expanded the archive with {{{pdal pipeline
 iowa_rural_surface.json}}}. It creates {{{./iowa_rural_surface.tiff}}} on
 Linux but exits with {{{zsh: trace trap  pdal pipeline
 iowa_rural_surface.json}}} on my M1 MBP.
