 The messages about `gi-docgen` should be harmless since it will not be
 used even if it is found. If the developers can suggest a way to tell the
 build not to look for it at all, I'll do that, otherwise I guess it's fine
 as is.

 The `nm` error is tracked in #64362.

 Your mention of the `g-ir-scanner` scanner problem finding pango's pkg-
 config files is yet another different issue which is new to me, and I'm
 not sure how much of a problem it is, if any. I can investigate that as
 well but I'd prefer to handle one issue per ticket.
