 I have tried to do that with build files (for ppc+ppc64), and while it
 worked for `python27`, it failed for `python38` and later. Specifically,
 while build itself completes, modules fail to function.

 I addressed that here: https://trac.macports.org/ticket/50821#comment:9
 And adding `legacysupport 1.0` didn’t solve the problem either.
