 Hmm, I tried now with gcc11 and it looks it might have built.

 This is what I used:

 export PATH=/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin
 CC="/opt/svacchanda/gcc11/bin/gcc -m64 -O2"
 CXX="/opt/svacchanda/gcc11/bin/g++ -m64 -O2"
 PYTHON=/opt/local/bin/python2.7  ./configure
 make VERBOSE=1 -j4 >make.txt
 }}}

 I did get a number of warnings but no errors. I will attach make log now.
