Comment:

 I haven't read through all of [https://github.com/darktable-
 org/darktable/issues/7564 this upstream issue] but someone said in an
 early comment that adding `-DBUILD_SSE2_CODEPATHS=OFF` allowed the build
 to work on Apple Silicon. You could try adding that (to `configure.args`).

 You might also file a separate ticket about sqlite3.
