 Yes, you should either stay on XCode 3.2.x or otherwise use something like
 this procedure: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5333490/how-can-we-
 restore-ppc-ppc64-as-well-as-full-10-4-10-5-sdk-support-to-xcode-4
 And then make sure that Macports uses `gcc-4.2` for ppc code, since `llvm-
 gcc-4.2` (which is symlinked to `/usr/bin/gcc` by default) fails.
