 Ok, I managed to locally test this, by
 1. editing the Portfile pointed to by `port file git-annex`,
 2. `sudo port fetch git-annex`,
 3. `sudo port bump git-annex` to update the checksums, and
 4. finally `sudo port install git-annex` again.

 Step 2 might have been optional (did not try), but overall I call this a
 success; at least the installation finished and the `git annex` command
 becomes available.

 The Portfile lists no additional dependencies or so, so I don't think any
 further action than this version bumping will be necessary.
