New description:

 I upgraded my MacPort installation of latex2html, but it no longer works
 as expected.
 More precisely, the inlined images that are produced when encountering
 some mathmode (equations, $text$)
 are apparently using a full page, rather than being cropped properly
 around their boundaries.
 That is visible in the images.pdf file created by latex2html to create
 these images and insert
 them where needed.

 This may be linked to an incorrect installation, as I am unable to fix the
 following error
 {{{
 MacBook-Pro-de-Stephane-Guilloteau:~ guilloteau$ sudo port upgrade
 latex2html
 ---> Scanning binaries for linking errors
 ---> Found 2 broken files, matching files to ports
 Warning: No port p5.26-net-ssleay found in the index; can't rebuild
 ---> Broken files found, but all associated ports are not in the index
 and so cannot be rebuilt.
 }}}

Comment:

 The warning from rev-upgrade is not related to latex2html; it checks the
 binaries installed by all ports after every install and upgrade. The p5.26
 -net-ssleay port was deleted from the ports tree sometime after you
 installed it. You can use `port echo obsolete` to see all such ports.
