Comment:

 Upstream has emphasized that they'll continue to expand usage of
 frameworks and APIs only available on macOS 10.14. And without a lot of
 shims and/or compatibility layers - which could be a nightmare to maintain
 - this is essentially untenable.

 Closing as wontfix.
