 As a temporary work around I did this:

 {{{
 pip install --user fastjsonschema
 }}}

 I realized that this is not the macport recommended way, but it does allow
 me to use notebook temporary, until your fix propagates through.  (I don't
 yet see anything outdated if I do: sudo port sync; port outdated.)
