 The error message:

 align=false'.  Try: 'clang (LLVM option parsing) --help'
     clang (LLVM option parsing): Did you mean '--stackrealign=false'?

 has all the hallmarks of a bad {{{configure}}} script, at least one that
 is not adapted to MacOS.

 I am not sure that it is worthwhile to try to make this work just for a
 {{{+debug}}} variant. Maybe we should remove that variant?

 Views from others are appreciated before I try to make it work.
