 Hey,
 Thanks a lot for the assistance and the help!
 As it was past midnight for me yesterday I could not see the recent
 replies.

 Now I have tried it and am successfully able to run gedit on both terminal
 and Xquartz terminal (x-term)
 I really appreciate the assistance and the help for the same!!
