 I think I have a plan: I added a {{{gmic-lib}}} subport. {{{gmic}}}
 cleanly built against it (w/o the gmic-clib kludge). Currently rebuilding
 {{{gmic-clib}}}, {{{gmic-qt}}} and {{{gmic-gimp}}}.
