 Just in case, have you tried using Apple’s own `libc++` on 10.6 PPC? I
 just realised it is there in `/usr/lib`.
 I know you advised to configure Macports on it with `libstdc++`, but not
 sure if that is an outcome of a test & failure with `libc++` or an
 assumption – reasonable one, no doubt – based on architecture and/or
 status of DP?
