 That's the direction I was thinking of too. I think that's probably the
 right thing to do.

 But I don't want to. :) The portgroups set up livecheck for me before and
 I think they should continue to do so. I don't think the way this port is
 set up is so unusual that it shouldn't be supported. I haven't looked but
 there may be other ports set up in this way that are similarly affected.
