 Hi again,

 I am wondering if the best for me would not be to completely remove my
 MacPort installation and start again with a fresh new one.
 MacPort is installed on my system in :
 # MacPorts Installer addition on 2022-04-27_at_13:43:04: adding an
 appropriate PATH variable for use with MacPorts.
 setenv PATH "/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:$PATH"
 # Finished adapting your PATH environment variable for use with MacPorts.

 In /opt, I have :

 [macp2034:~] caux%   ls /opt
 X11/   edm/   local/

 And in /opt/local/ :

 [macp2034:~] caux% ls /opt/local
 Library/ bin/     etc/     include/ lib/     libexec/ man@     sbin/
 share/   src/     var/     www/
 [macp2034:~] caux%

 Would it be safe to completely remove the dire /opt/local and make a fresh
 install of MacPort ?
