 This report might point in the right direction
 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/8700, though it's about old
 fonts that no longer work. The situation here might be that 10.7 uses
 fonts that are no longer supported by the libraries that GIMP is being
 compiled with.
