 From what I can tell, only MariaDB version 10.5 and later support Apple
 Silicon. As I said previously on ticket:65848#comment:2, if you do not
 need MariaDB 5.5 specifically, then I suggest using a different variant of
 `qt5-mysql-plugin`; presumably the ones which support Apple Silicon are
 `mariadb10_5`, `mysql57`, and `mysql8`.
