 looks like the system toolchain no longer provides the i386 bits this
 build of python expected when forcing i386 on the newer systems:

 We might be able to work around this with various tricks, but to be honest
 at this point in time I would not bother using the MacPorts wine port any
 longer as it is really hopelessly out of date, and just go to here:
 <​https://github.com/Gcenx/macports-wine/>, and find and download one of
 the prebuilt versions you find there. It is much newer. It is built with a
 specially-tweaked version of MacPorts.

 If you really really have to build wine because it is a requirement of
 your company to do so or similar, there are instructions there on how to
 do it.
