 Sergey builds most of his stuff on 10.6 ppc or rosetta, manually using
 gcc12 and libgcc12 I believe, so what he sees may not be reflective of
 what most macports users might see…. this is assuming it built for him,
 which he said it did.

 Someone who uses a standard macports setup on these older ppc systems will
 need to dig in on this and see what is going on.
