 Just as a note, MariaDB 5.5 is end-of-life since 2020; ideally qt5-mysql-
 plugin should no longer offer it as a variant (likewise for MariaDB 10.1,
 MariaDB 10.2, and MySQL 5.6), or at least not use it by default. In the
 meantime, if you do not specifically require mariadb55 then I would
 suggest trying a different variant.
