Comment:

 Thanks for letting us know the update is available; livecheck doesn't
 indicate it. I'll fix that and update the port as well. The patches are no
 longer needed since they're already upstream.

 I'll leave #63601 for someone else to do another time as I have no input
 on optimization flags and it is not customary for ports to modify them.
