 BTW, [https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/coreutils-and-python-for-tiger-
 on-ppc.2398853/page-2?post=32404842#post-32404842 reportedly], the hack
 mentioned above stopped working on 10.5.8 – or at least may fail on some
 configurations.
