 Hi! I reopen this... because it is apparently not fixed.
 Just as yesterday, I hit this error on mac 10.13

 Both when using clang and gcc12 when building something (not in macports).

 I reopen this bug because this is happens on a clean system, installed
 from scratch 10.13 and macports directly, so there is no legacy, no older
 ports, deleted symlinks, etc etc. Direct install of clang15 and gcc12.

 Why using those compilers I need an older library?

 My "guess" is that on 10.13 most (but not all) packages were installed as
 binary, so perhaps somehow one binary was not rebuilt on the buildbots? Or
 on the buildbots the said library is present? Just wildly guessing!
