 Well, adding:

 configure.ldflags-append -Wl,-undefined,dynamic_lookup
 }}}

 didn't work:

 ld: warning: -undefined dynamic_lookup may not work with chained fixups
 ld: illegal thread local variable reference to regular symbol _panic_stage
 for architecture arm64
 }}}
