New description:

 On https://ports.macports.org/port/kate/details/ there is a '?' for
 Ventura (arm64). I tried it and it fails:

 Error: Cannot install soprano for the arch 'x86_64' because
 Error: its dependency openjdk11-zulu does not build for the required arch
 by default
