 Hi Gunter,

 sorry for the long delay. Indeed I had issues compiling later versions of
 wxMaxima and didn't have time to investigate the issues. Your hint on
 webview should be helpful - I will see.

 The dialog box appearing should be the one which asks if maxima should be
 allowed to create a network port - I think it is for maxima and not for
 wxMaxima, but I never looked into the details.

 I will look into an update the next days.
