 Even after removing the preferences file, wxMaxima @21.02.0_1 crashes on
 my Mac (ARM/M2) when trying to open the Preferences.

 Unfortunately I do not know how to build the upstream commit locally with
 MacPorts. But if you can direct me to some instructions (if available
 online) I would give it a try.
