 distfile, not a package. If you meant fra.de.distfiles.macports.org, I
 just verified that the distfile there has the correct checksums. A random
 network problem could have resulted in you receiving a corrupted or
 truncated file and erasing the file (e.g. with `sudo port clean --all
 libedit`) and retrying might have fixed it.

 I have been getting the same issue with multiple packages now and my fix
 doesnt work for some of them. It only seems to happen with packages that
 are downloaded from fra.de.packages.macports.org. Is there any way I can
 force disable a specific distfiles and packages source?
