 I don't know how texlive packages are handled in macports, but "pseudo" in
 texlive-math-science is

 }}}

 and on CTAN (https://ctan.org/pkg/pseudo?lang=en), it's 1.2.1 and
 significantly changed. It'd be nice to get a newer version. Thanks!
