 There was a time, I believe, when Macports would update texlive packages
 several times a year, as one big drop of lots of updates at once. That
 being said, I don't think I've seen that recently, and I certainly don't
 know how it was done (e.g., some Macports human packaging them up one by
 one, or if it came straight from texlive).
